GCL Future Energy Pavilion is not only one of the main pavilions of the International Forum on Energy Transition, but also a "National Science and Education Base" which has been named in 2022 on the recommendation of the Chinese Renewable Energy Society.
Energy is the lifeblood of the economy. In order to ensure China's energy security and to realize the green and low-carbon transformation of the economy and society, President Xi Jinping proposed the strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation" for China's energy security in 2014.
In response to global climate change, on September 22nd, 2020, President Xi Jinping announced that China will strive to peak carbon emissions before 2030 and to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060 at the general debate of the United Nations General Assembly.
